No. Aegis Fortress is an independent insurance broker and surety bond producer. We work with leading insurers and surety markets to place coverage on your behalf. The insurance contract is between you and the insurer.

Bonds & Guarantees

Insurance is a two-party contract that protects the insured against fortuitous loss. A surety bond is a three-party guarantee of performance or payment. If a claim is paid under a bond, the surety seeks reimbursement from the principal (contractor).

We offer bid/tender bonds, performance bonds, advance payment guarantees, retention bonds, customs bonds, court bonds, and financial guarantees. Visit our Bonds & Guarantees page for details.

Surety underwriters evaluate financial statements, work-in-progress, industry experience, and character. We guide you through the process and present your strongest case to our surety markets.

For clients with an established facility, standard bonds are usually issued within 24-48 hours. New facilities require underwriting review, which can take a few days to a week.

Marine Cargo & Asset in Transit Insurance

Marine Cargo typically covers goods that are the subject of a commercial transaction (inventory), often with international ocean transit. Asset in Transit covers owned or leased equipment, machinery, and non-inventory goods, primarily moving domestically or regionally.

Clause A provides "all risks" coverage (broadest). Clause B covers named perils including fire, explosion, sinking, collision, and heavy weather. Clause C is more restrictive, covering major casualties only.

Yes. Standard Asset in Transit policies include coverage for loading and unloading operations, which are critical exposure points for heavy equipment and machinery.

Yes. All-risk transit policies cover theft, often subject to certain security warranties (e.g., vehicle immobilisation, secure parking). Our brokers can advise on appropriate security requirements.

Vaulting & Secure Storage

We provide secure storage for precious metals, sensitive documents, high-value goods, confidential records, and other approved items requiring controlled custody.

Access is restricted to authorised persons only and managed through verification procedures, documented approvals, and controlled release processes.

Yes. Insurance can be tailored to the value, category, and risk profile of the assets being stored, providing added financial protection.

Integrated Solutions

An integrated solution combines multiple Aegis Fortress services — bonds, insurance, and security — into a single, cohesive programme managed by one dedicated team. It eliminates coverage gaps and administrative complexity.

Typically, the opposite. By consolidating placement and eliminating duplicate coverage, integrated programmes often reduce overall risk spend while improving protection quality.

You have a single point of contact. Whether the claim involves a bond call, cargo damage, or a security incident, your dedicated Aegis Fortress account director coordinates the entire response.
